Dear Friends of the Southern Dominican Province,
Thank you for your inquiries, prayers, and thoughts for the Dominicans in Houston and throughout South Texas that have been affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. All of the Dominican friars, sisters, and laity in the area are safe and we’ve had no damage to property. I have received word that houses belonging to the families of two of our friars have been flooded.
Please continue to pray for the thousands of people whose lives have been impacted by the flooding. Pray also for the first responders, volunteers, and relief efforts. The Dominican friars will certainly be holding all of these people in prayer in the coming days and weeks. If you would like to make a donation to Hurricane relief, one good agency is
